Where can you find a Russian girlfriend? – is the main slogan of this website. At first, I was concerned about the site’s Spanish domain, but when I logged in, the system automatically switched the language to English. There are 5 available languages – I didn’t check if the content was the same for each of them, as I only speak English, but, nevertheless, website’s interface is quite convenient and intuitive – I’d understand what to do even if I didn’t speak any of the given languages.
Despite the fact that this website’s main purpose is to connect Russian women with foreigners, I’ve also found girls from Ukraine, Belarus, Poland, Czech Republic and even Spain, Mexico and Argentina.
According to website’s stats, there are slightly less than 30,000 girls registered there at the moment. Most girls here are from 18 to 35 years old, however, setting a special filter, I have witnessed a fairly long list of ladies 40-50 y.o., some of whom, by the way, judging by the photos, could easily compete with the 20 year olds. :))
The main difference of this website in respect of other dating platforms is that registration here is mandatory. You simply can’t view each girl’s profile without being identified. However, you can still look at the random girls, whose profiles happened to be on the main page at the moment. On the other hand, registration process is absolutely free and when you’re finished, you will be able to view any profile and start chatting for free.
A distinctive feature of this website is that it’s not only for people who are looking for a relationship, but also for those who wish to flirt without restrictions, chat or find a travel mate. This service can prove useful during the holiday season, because no one wants to go on vacation alone. During the chat with one lady, she invited me to come and relax at the house in her hometown on the seashore. I immediately imagined Saint-Tropez or Nizza, but, alas, it was just Sochi :)
A minor disadvantage of this website is that during my very first days there I was getting a bunch of messages from girls, some of whom frankly told me that they were looking for a sponsor. Several girls insinuated that they wished to come over, but wanted me to pay for the ticket. I limited it to just sending flowers and fruits to 2 girls as gifts, as I was very excited to test that feature. The girls actually received the gifts, but it took about 3 days.
I also tried making a video-call with an interpreter. One girl refused to do it, citing that she didn’t have a webcam. Two other girls agreed. The main drawback is that neither of girls were speaking English, and if a 40-minute conversation on general topics with an interpreter wasn’t that inconvenient, then it’d be quite difficult to imagine a romantic date with a girl and her translator. :)
The prices here are comparable with other dating websites – messaging is a bit cheaper, calling is a bit more expensive. In general, this website is not bad at all, but a little frivolous. Here, you’re more likely to find someone to flirt and romance with, than a serious relationship and marriage seeker.
